Okay, here’s the deal. What would you do if your seventeen year old daughter was kidnapped on a trip to Paris to be sold into sexual slavery? Well, Liam Neeson’s character in the new film “Taken” goes on the warpath, tracking down the kidnappers and killing them one by one.
“Taken” is an international thriller mixed with a solid dose of vigilante justice. The plot and characters aren’t too complex, but it’s an excellent action ride and tons of fun to watch.
Of course, while parents will cheer for Neeson’s character, they will also probably never allow their own kids out of their sight for years to come. But that just makes an effective movie, doesn’t it?
