5. First up is Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Two teenagers from New Jersey find love during an night of chasing a band in New York City.
4. The next release is Paramount’s I Love the 80s Collection. Revisit classics like Top Gun, Flashdance, Top Secret, Coming to America and Cheech & Chong’s Still Smokin’.
3. In the number three spot, we have Zack & Miri Make a Porno. Kevin Smith’s latest film about two down-and-out friends who decide to make an adult film for extra cash is sure to make you laugh… and offend just about everyone.
2. At number two we have Disney dogs. The new Space Buddies see the puppies go into space while Oliver and Company, which features a canine twist on Oliver Twist, gets a 20th Anniversary release.
1. And topping the list of my DVD picks is Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. The rogue group of animals from the Central Park Zoo are trying to get home, and crash land in Africa. That’s what you get when you let penguins fly.
STINKER OF THE WEEK – And be sure to avoid this week’s stinker – The Secret Life of Bees. The only thing about this pretentious, overly weepy and schmaltzy film that is better than the book is that the movie takes less time to get through.
