5. First up is Nights in Rodanthe. Okay, I confess. I actually hated this film, but it is the week before Valentine’s Day, so you might have to watch this with your lady friend.
4. The next release is Blindness. Julianne Moore leads a powerful cast in this speculative thriller about people suddenly going blind, and the devastating impact it has on society.
3. In the number three spot, we have some Disney Channel fun. The Mouse House has released some new compilations of the hit shows Phineas and Ferb and The Wizards of Waverly Place.
2. At number two we have My Name Is Bruce. Cult film icon Bruce Campbell stars in this pseudo-biographical movie about a run-in with a murdering ancient Chinese ghost.
1. And topping the list of my DVD picks is Friday the 13th, parts I, II and III Deluxe Editions. Yeah, these actually came out last week, but they’re worth checking out again to prepare for the release of the remake this Friday… the 13th.
STINKER OF THE WEEK – And be sure to avoid this week’s stinker – W., Soul Men, Miracle at St. Anna. Take your pick from any of these flicks.
